The James “Jim” W. Hadnot, Sr. Foundation was established in 1999 to provide a vehicle for high school seniors in the Oakland Community to receive financial assistance in attending the college or technical institution of their choice. The foundation’s goals are:

To promote the pursuit of higher education and academic success of “at risk” youth in Oakland.

To provide scholarship funds to high school seniors that have been accepted to college.

To build self-esteem in African-American youth.

To ensure the long-term financial stability of the Foundation
by establishing partnerships with local, regional and
national sponsors.

To continue the community outreach efforts
of James “Jim” W. Hadnot, Sr.
